Requirements Graduates of duly accredited high schools may be admitted to the Catanduanes State Colleges are Freshman if they meet the following:
- 1. Quality score in the CSC Admission Test
- 2. Good health
- 3. Good moral character as certified by the principal of the secondary school attended.
CSC College Admission Test (CSCCAT)
All applicants for freshman admission, including
honor graduates and recipients of scholarship, public or private are required
to take the CSCCAT.
Eligible to take the CSCCAT are students who have
not taken the test previously and who are either high school seniors
expecting to graduate at the end of the school year, or have graduated
but have yet taken or taken college subjects in any academic institutions.
The CSCCAT covers the following areas:
- 1. Mental ability
- 2. General information
- 3. Language ability
- 4. Mathematics and science
Selection Procedure
Applicants for freshman admission are separated
into groups according to the college/unit into which they are applying
for admission. The applicants in each group are then ranked from highest
to lowest in accordance with their CSCCAT scores. Based on the quota
set by the college dean, qualifying scores are established for a specific
college/unit.
An applicant for admission to the Catanduanes State
Colleges is considered for the course he/she has qualified. Notices
of admission or non-admission are issued individually to the applicants
who took the CSCCAT. Pertinent information and instruction for registration
shall accompany the notice of admission.
