Travel allowance of CSC students now increased to P500
After almost 11 years, the daily travel allowance of Catanduanes State Colleges students who are attending seminars, training, competitions and other co-curricular BETTER OFF - From scrimping with P200 per diem allowance for meals and lodging expenses during official travels, CSC students can now loosen their belts with the approval of the CSC Board of Trustees of the new P500 daily travel allowance rate. The CSC Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 15, series of 2012 which increases the rate of travel allowance of students from P200 to P500 effective April 1, 2012.

The Resolution was approved during the 153rd Meeting of the CSC Board of Trustees on March 27, 2012. It was sponsored by Student Trustee Glenda Rima.

This development was disseminated by CSC President Minerva I. Morales through unnumbered Memorandum dated April 16, 2012.

Thus, students who are official travel attending seminars, conference, competitions and the like, will be able to enjoy the said allowance increase, subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The last time that the daily travel allowance of students was increased was in 2001, which was from P50 to P200. (GSRubio/PR and Information Services)
