Accounting Unit gets citation from COA

The Catanduanes State Colleges is among the 12 government agencies awarded by the Commission on Audit (COA) for promptly submitting their financial reports.

CSC Accountant III Necodimus del Agua, along with Dr. Minerva I. Morales, CSC SUC President III, received the award. The citation particularly gave recognition to the agency accountants, together with their respective heads of offices during the awarding ceremonies on June 15, 2012 at the Provincial Capitol Dome.

CSC ranked fourth in the national government agencies category who submitted on time the financial report. The top five most prompt national government agencies given recognition by COA were Department of Agrarian Reform (accountant Pedro Romero and OIC-PARO Alexander Teves), PENRO (accountant Minda Tapel and OIC-PENRO Joaquin Ed Guerrero), DepEd (accountant Elaine R. Ang and OIC-Superintendent Socorro dela Rosa), CSC (accountant Necodimos del Agua and President Minerva Morales), and DPWH (accountant Neptaly Tañon and District Engineer Ignacio Odiaman).

In the local government categories, the top five awardees were Bato (municipal accountant Manuel Rojas and Mayor Eulogio Rodriguez), Gigmoto (municipal accountant Carmen Olfindo and Mayor Edgar Tayam), Bagamanoc (municipal accountant Julian Velchez and Mayor Odilon Pascua), Baras (municipal accountant Cecile Pereyra and Mayor Chito Chi), Viga (municipal accountant Perfecto Villamartin Jr. and Mayor Abelardo Abundo Sr.), and Virac (municipal accountant Lilian Baloloy and Mayor Jose Alberto II). The provincial government of Catanduanes, represented by provincial accountant Sonia Villaluna and Governor Joseph Cua, received a special citation. (GSRubio/PR and Information Services)
